Acrylic cosmetic jars are best suited for oil-in-water and water-in-oil emulsions: face creams, eye creams, gels, sleeping masks, lotions, and balms. For formulas with high essential-oil or alcohol content, we recommend a PP inner liner — and Gidea provides free compatibility testing before mass production.
Not recommended for direct, long-term contact. Concentrated essential oils, alcohol, and certain solvents can stress-craze PMMA over time. Our standard solution is a double-wall jar with a PP or PET inner liner, which isolates the formula from the acrylic shell while keeping the luxury appearance.
Acrylic (PMMA) is harder, clearer (about 92% light transmission), and more scratch-resistant — but more brittle under impact. PETG is tougher and more chemical-resistant, but slightly less transparent and softer-surfaced. In practice: acrylic for premium jars and display pieces, PETG for drop-prone bottles and tubes.
No. Acrylic is roughly ten times more impact-resistant than glass, and our jars are molded with reinforced wall thicknesses validated by drop testing from 1.2 meters. Under normal consumer handling — vanities, travel bags, bathroom counters — breakage is extremely rare.
Yes. The inner liner and outer shell are molded as separate components, so each can carry its own Pantone-matched color — a clear outer with a colored inner is the classic double-wall look. Lids can be matched to either component or finished in contrast.
Stock capacities run from 5g to 200g across round, square, single-wall, and double-wall bodies. Lid options include PP or acrylic screw caps, electroplated and metallized lids, bamboo-look closures, and disc tops, with optional PE foam or induction sealing liners.
Yes, with a practical caveat. PCR content works well in inner cups, lids, and other non-transparent components, and we regularly produce PCR-PP liners for refillable systems. For crystal-clear outer shells, optical-grade virgin PMMA remains the standard, as recycled acrylic cannot yet match its clarity.
Yes. Stock-mold samples ship quickly for fit and finish evaluation, and our in-house tooling shop develops new molds for fully custom shapes — from 3D concept and structural drawings through trial production. Many stock samples are free; you cover only freight. Minimum order quantities start low enough for emerging brands to test the market.
Stock samples ship in 3–7 working days. Mass production typically runs 25–35 days after sample approval, depending on order volume and decoration complexity. New mold development adds approximately 30–45 days for tooling and trial runs — we confirm a firm schedule with your quotation.
